IELTS : International English Language Testing System is basically a testing system which tests your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills of English.

Well, preparing for IELTS is not a simple task. So, most of the people prefer going to coaching institutes paying thousands of money and still gets less IELTS band than they expected. But people like us will prefer to prepare from home because WE ARE LAZY.

So, if you want to get a good IELTS band, you have to make sure that you are good in the four parts of the testing system which are listening, reading, writing and speaking. Now, let's go through each part and discuss 4 ways to prepare IELTS while being in home. Well then let's get started:

1.   LISTENING:

["If you're not listening, you're not learning" - LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON]

This first way of preparing is more fun, because you just have to watch films, listen to music and follow the news on television. But do them as mentioned below,

  • Watch English films with subtitles and watch them again without subtitles
  • Now, try watching new films without subtitles
  • Follow TV series
  • Listen to English music and pick the songs you loved
  • After listening to your favourite songs for numerous times, try watching the lyrical videos of that songs
  • Follow the news channels on a regular basis

2.   READING

[Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body - JOSEPH ADDISON]

Reading makes you think,  'a day is too short'  if you start reading. The beauty of reading is awesome, and the things to do are:

  • Make a habit of reading newspaper early in the morning
  • Start reading books/novels or else buy a kindle
  • Follow the blogs about any topic you are interested in
  • While watching the news channel, read the scrolling below

3.   WRITING

["Writing is the painting of the voice" - VOLTAIRE]

Writing is simplest way from the four ways. Whatever comes through your mind, write them. The things to do are:

  • Maintain a dairy
  • Write your childhood memories
  • Start writing blogs for the topics you are crazy about
  • Imagine, create and write your own stories

4.   SPEAKING

Speak like no one's listening

"What if I'm wrong" if you are thinking this before speaking, then you can never ever speak English, I mean the real English. The things to do are:

  • Choose some people whom you are comfortable speaking English
  • While speaking try to form the sentences as interesting as possible
  • Record your own voice and listen for improving your phonetics

For things to work more effectively:
