A chartered Accountant is in high demand these days. Want to become a part of this esteemed profession. But the questions might be in your mind. How can you become a CA and what is the process? Let us help you with the process you need to follow to become a CA.


Eligibility criteria: You should have cleared your 12th (Irrespective of the stream, Yes go ahead Science and Arts Background people)

CPT (Common Proficiency Test)- Register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) after passing class 10th examination.

Appear for CPT examination after appearing in 10+2 examination and after completion of period of at least 60 days from the date of registration for CPT with the Board of Studies as on the first day of the month in which examination is to be held, viz., students registered on or before 1st April/1st October will be eligible to appear in June/December examination, as the case may be

IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) Register for IPCC. Candidate should pass both CPT and 10+2 before registering for IPCC. Registration for IPCC should be done nine months before the first day of the month in which exam is held. IPCC has total seven papers (Group 1+Group 2).

Group, I is composed of four papers and Group 2 consists of three papers. Passing Group I is necessary for commencing Articleship (Mandatory Training that a Candidate has to undergo)

Successfully complete 100 hours Information Technology Training (ITT) and Orientation They are to be completed before registering for Articleship. Complete Orientation Course of one week spanning 35 hours and covering topics, such as personality development, communication skills, office procedure, business environment, general commercial knowledge, etc.

Note: You can complete ITT and Orientation at any time before registering for Articleship.

Appear and pass IPCC both groups.

Register for Articleship: Register yourself as an articled assistant under a Practising Firm or a Company for three years.

Register for CA Final: Enrol for CA Final exam which has eight papers divided into two groups. Appear in CA Final Examination during last six months of 3 years of articled training. Pass with flying colors in CA Final exams and meanwhile complete GMCS Training (General Management and Communication Skills)

Finally, you have cleared all the steps, and you are a Qualifies professional: A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT.
